Upon concrete

bereavement,
Time was
a full life
completed me,
needed by children and
husband.
Alone,
I wander
thru the home once
brimming with laughter and
joy.

Daisy
and nettle,
poppy petal,
willow weeds..symbol
life's deeds-
pain and
innocence,
forsaken love-
tragedy lies beneath
death's sheaf

" I dreamt, I was a butterfly, or was I a butterfly dreaming..."
Lit wings
Reflected,
Captivating.
Awed, I reach out to her,
Sighing.
Graceful,
Silently
Fascinating.
Diamond drops cascade down.
Tears.
Ever
Enchanting,
Pale shimmering.
Somehow she cannot see
Her wings.
Joyful,
Entrancing,
I lift her chin.
"With such wings, you can fly!"
I try.
Glowing,
Delightful,
She wipes her tears.
Downcast wings start to
flutter.
Smiling,
Suddenly
Remembering.
Enrapturing in her
Found Wings.

Each life,
year by year
our timelines tell-

death's nell.

Categories:
absence, betrayal, cancer, courage, death,
Everything went silent
The monitors and doctors panicked voices
everything went dead
I knew I was dying
The first night is the worst
Doctors not knowing if you'll really make it
Stress levels rising
Hearts breaking
Tears being cried all over the country in my name
Pressure rising
Everything went quiet
As I stopped to breathe

in lake. Birds pecked
out his nostrils and eyes…
