9th grade, angst, anxiety, death, i love you, i miss you, imagery,
It's a little too quiet now,
I can't hear the love in her voice.
And yet, the sound of her laughter
is oft overheard in my dreams.
Since she died and went to heaven
it's a little too quiet now.
And all that I took for granted,
morphed into precious memories.
Her gentle goodbye broke my heart
and I could hear me screaming no.
It's a little too quiet now,
and the silence is deafening.
I pray to a merciful God
to keep her alive in my thoughts.
Her heartbeat was my symphony,
it's a little too quiet now.

cancer, death, i love you, loss, love hurts, meaningful,
Your soul was being attacked
Meanwhile mine carried bags
Of sorrow, devastation and guilt
For I knew your little body couldn’t handle this
This cancer that sprung up out of nowhere when you were two
But you got your army men and went to work
Fighting
How strong your little heart was
Bigger than any of those little army men
Nevertheless, your little body didn’t fight forever
How could it?
So I sat you on my lap and told you that it was okay
You died that day.
So now,
Every chance I get I say screw Cancer
Fot taking the most precious boy I’d ever laid eyes on.

have you ever felt like
the flashing red light on the roof,
lonely as ever
visible at night, useless by day?
in sync with its partner next door
for a quick kiss over a few flashes only
then arguing again and again
night in, night out.
have you ever felt like
the flashing red light on the roof,
not signaling a warning to keep away
but sending a call for compassion?
using the dark pauses in between
to yell the same name
over and over and over
into the emptiness of each night.
have you ever felt like
the flashing red light on the roof,
being your silent cry
only heard by your eternal love?

death, i love you, cousin,
R.I.P to the big cuz drew… Never did I think I would ever loose you…. Not this early in life…. I would do anything
to have you in my sight…. Them guys that did that stuff just aint right…. I mean they had me up crying…. They
had to be lying…. Its too soon for you to be up in the sky flying… I look to clouds up above… Wishing I can give
you one more hug… Push and shove… Never let you go… Cause I love you cousin just had to let you no….

death, i love you, love,
the day the pen stops
writing about you
no blood will flow
from these empty veins
poetry
will remain
forever silent
no longer will
the tongue dance
to the tune inside
this heart
an invisible soul will
ascend in silence
no more deep sighs
just a breathless
goodbye
and you my love
what will become of you?

death, dedication, me, love, me, i love you,
Remember me when I am gone,
no need to shed those tears.
For I am in a better place,
where I have no more fears.
With Gods embrace I'm happy now
it's a lovely place to be.
There is no more sorrow,
it's as pretty as the sea.
Remember me my lovely child,
for I'll remember you.
Just pick up all the pieces,
and try not to be so blue.
The time has come for me to go,
so hold your head up high.
I know your feeling lonely,
I'm right here by your side.
Tell all your kids I love them,
and not to be so sad.
For I love you all so much,
I was proud to be your Dad.
I Love You!

death, i love you, perspective, remember, time,
if i died tonight
i’d have wild flowers
i’d wish i’d gathered
fields i’d wish i’d run
seas i’d still long to sail
unfinished business
unsent birthday cards
unsung melodies and
unpainted flowers on
unstarted canvases askew
i’d have poems still unwritten
but i’d mostly have the memory of you
savoring the last words
i’ve said a million times before
how i’d always and forever love you
forever and a day

grief, i love you, i miss you, imagery, loss, lost love, love,
I once loved a Black king.
He held my heart, he was my everything.
He held me within his majesty
And gave me the chance to be his own king.
Afraid of his kingdom's reign,
I ran away one day.
His powers rained down for years;
We both moved on into new love affairs.
I still love my Black king,
Yet he sings to his new own king.
I watch from outside the kingdom's gates
His majesty shine like never before.

death, family, father, loss, love, sympathy, teen, heart, heart, love, i love you,
A million times I've needed you
A million times I've cried
If love alone could have saved you
You never would have died
In life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still
In my heart you hold a place
No one can ever fill
It broke my heart to lose you
But you did not go alone
A part of me went with you
The day GOD called you home
Your precious memory is my keepsake
With which I'll never part
GOD has you safely in HIS keeping
But I have you forever in my heart

I am an addict.
Broken eyes to ***********,
Only Jesus can set me free.
Only by His death on the cross
And the grace of His Father's love
Am I able to be set free.
With God as The Light,
The One and Only Light,
The Only Hope in sight,
Will I be set free.
I am free.

Love is a four letter word
she whispered into his ear,
So is four, as is word
he whispered back into her fear,
Such is "you and I"
cried his heart - she could hear,
Their cheeks hugged, eyes kissed
each shedding a single tear.

She watched as the earth fell asleep
Waited for the yellow moon
soft kisses of unfaithful wind..
Images..Images on her head
Nostalgic memory of a forgotten love
Flashes of things she tried to forget..
Her eyes caught the reflection of the moon
locked inside the rain on her cheek..
She was standing alone..
Her grieving heart sought
solace from the moon
She petitioned the stars
Where is he this very night?
Cruel..oh so cruel..
Beneath the silence of the sky
she bowed her head and cried..

None to care

But my love is alive
Though I strive
Beautiful roses to pluck
Yet I am stuck..
I grow old with wrinkle
Yet I will kinker
You will always remain in my mind
This is how you will find...

blessing, death, dedication, emotions, i love you, life, mother,
We sing a song to our Mother's soul who has passed and gone
she sings back as an angel from beyond and drops a tear
as we sleep so we won't wake and weep
On earth she gave us birth and strength to shine in this universe
and to remember family comes first for even in death
we have rebirth and a life of worth
So, we sing a song to our Mother's soul who has passed and gone
we will remain strong and will carry on for this beautiful angel
from beyond who has bygone for our mom.

grief, i love you, missing you, mother daughter,
I look up high and see a bright star,
That must be my angel
Yes shes a star,
Mom I bet , its so beautiful living
In a castle up in the sky,
My mommy is an angel ,
I wish I could see her fly,
when sum days are hard ,
And reality sets in ,
I breakdown and cry ,
then I see a sparkle and really
caught
my eye
Thats when it all made sense ,
I got comfort , from the bright star
way up high
Thats my mommy , shes an angel ,
sitting on the sky
The brightest star,
I love u mom , and think of u no
matter how far
U are ....
I can c u watching down on me ,
Where ever u are...
In loving memory of my mom

Atop the road by the sea
Thou confessed thy affection for me
By a kiss as thy language of love
Ebbed from the copious desire thou have
A kiss from thee, my first love,
Something at last I have
My first love; my first kiss
I didn’t expect I’ll miss
‘Twas a kiss of farewell
For my love will depart and travel
Didn’t know when we’ll meet again
But I’m hoping it’ll happen
Though it’s heartbreaking,
I have to accept the pain I’m feeling.
The first and last kiss we had
Is the first and last kiss we’ll have?

absence, death, deep, feelings, i love you, loss,
When my words run out.
Give me an ink and pen. I'll write a thank you note.
I don't want to be despair but please love me and care.
I don't either want you to bare
but please be it for until my last day i want you to be there.
Don't cry for i may gone.
Remember the smile i once had when we're together.
My door is already closed, my time stop here.
We cannot undo the past
But, this time let it be last.
Our hi's and hello's end in "good bye".
Moving circles gone.
I'll can only whisper on your ear
I LOVE YOU before my last breath gone.
