They hate you because your you
They make up lies and call it true
They're fake behind your back
Hoping someday that you'll crack.

They hate you because your real.
no matter what they say you always heal
They're surprised to see you rise,
That you're not affected by all these lies

They hate you because you smile at them
It shows them that your a real gem
You are always true and do your best :)
Sometimes these haters just cant test

They hate you for no reason
Despite it all, you smile
whatever the reason
At the end of the day
All i'm gonna say
All i plan to be
IS ME

A New Dawn

   After cancer and after surgery
I returned to work and the [poetry scene
My eyes have seen the face of death
 I continue to hope
that one day the various peoples
of the world will get along
I realize that the tides of peace
arrange themselves
in patterns which are difficult for us to understand
After all - we are mortal and fallible
Yet there strength
   in all of us
Which comes forth
in the most trying of circumstances

A Tribute : To - Skat A

My heart grieves for the loss of a talented Quill
For the Inspiration she warmly gave to this newbie
From the sunlight of Skat's words of Wisdom
To the moonless midnight of a heart forlorn
Memories, smiles, and joy become shadows of the past
May the Spirit of poets past descend upon her heart
That she may see the Admiration and Love that Skat receives
(From me anyway) and many others I'm sure.

I Love You Skat and intend to read all of YOUR Quill after I finish
the comments on Your last post. As Chef says I bow to you and
hand You The GOLDEN Pen of Poetry. You are my guiding ANGEL
             Respectfully submitted...Flipper

LOST INSPIRATION

Now it all seem blank
and words refuse to flow from this pen
wisdom to think, i even lack
even greatness at times i doubt, and i ask when?
often unconsciously, i sit in this plank
looking back and forth, now and then
And it all started after that sickness, when i started going blank
and some memories i have to keep with a book and a pen
All i see is black! black!! black!!!
Who would get me my inspiration back?

Final Ascent

Round and round, they twist and rise; Without a sound, towards heaven’s skies. Pure energy, it cannot die, despite a skeptics protest; It brings a soul to new heights; there, it has its rest. When the light, it does appear, an all-consuming fire; Life renews; becomes dear as we transcend this ugly mire. With electricity; souls are called into the light; The clay and water, reduced to ground; as souls alight. The one part of your self will rise, to touch and stay in Heaven’s skies. Just know you go where you’ll be free; Across the void, to your Creator, you see. Life’s not easy, but when lived well; back to the Source, we all will sail.

I Despair At My Accidental Death

hopelessness despair rage at myself
my own doing
my fault I am here
raging fires
inferno
uncomfortable

hopelessness personified
my eyes close
i do not need to see more
i know what has happened
i despair at my accidental death

i never meant to end up here.
never thought this could happen to me.
heard the flapping of wings

Fly, the dove said,
you do not belong here,
and my faith set me free,

Hugs

Teenage Girls clad in the latest fashions,
Do it whenever they meet,
Grown men aren't afraid to show some passion,
When their team's comeback is complete,
They can say hello, they can say goodbye,
And anything inbetween,
If you open your arms and crack a smile,
There is nothing that a hug cannot mean.

Strong Tears

Tell Them Now

If you appreciate others, tell them now,
While it still can add to their sense of self-worth.
To wait is a mistake many make because
No one knows how much time they have left on earth.

If you admire her kind generosity,
Or how he selflessly gives to those with needs;
Letting them know sooner rather than later,
Encourages them to do other good deeds.

Gratitude has positive ripple effects;
Expanding circles - lives we affirm and touch.
Avoid regrets about dearly departed,
By telling them now they matter and how much.

100 years ago a war began, A war that severely scared man. Bullets flew, bombs exploded, Lives were lost and morals eroded. 100 years ago a war continued, Causing deaths to increase by a multitude. Caught in a crossfire deep in a trench, Disease ridden and with a horrible stench. 100 years ago a war ended, Yet there were many wrongs never amended. Of families waiting for the loved one they yearn, Waiting for the ones that never return. At this very moment I lie on a bed, Free from tyranny and bloodshed. My heart pulsing with gratitude of what I know, Of the sacrifices made 100 years ago.

The day she was stolen
The skies turned black
Locust ate at our very souls
In the name of God
I shout why?

The flowers of Hendon
Surround a black tombstone
How fitting
That as I see the blackness of that day in stone
The flowers around joyously sing to me
Bismillah

Our Sweetheart Sings

The Robbery

Rob me of my purity,
But once again it's all my fault;
Fell into the trap of false promises
Because I pressed play instead of pause.

Final Adieu

Final Adieu

Let another sun set,
Let another flower wilt,
Let another autumn cast its gloom,
Let another tear role,
As ye part, and bid
The final adieu.

The Light

They praise me like a saint,
But I am a sinner;
They don't know the man they see.
I am an addict.
Broken eyes to ***********,
Only Jesus can set me free.
Only by His death on the cross
And the grace of His Father's love
Am I able to be set free.
With God as The Light,
The One and Only Light,
The Only Hope in sight,
Will I be set free.
I am free.

Her Soul

it's not the sun that rises each morning
it's my mind setting into the light;

it's not the sun that sets each evening
it's her soul rising onto the night.

urban leaves turned

for a place to settle
no Farmer's Market

Soothing Lines to My Sad, Lovely Lass

Give me drink, rest, and solitude—
these are all the things I long for;
give me as well your finest food
and I'll ask of you, lass, no more!

My lovely lass, what's the matter—
why are you all down and alone?
Don't be vexed because you're sadder
than most, dear, for God loves His own.

Sweet girl, I'll tell you a secret:
if I were a young lad again,
I'd chase you for your sweet asset.
But as I am two-score and ten

years old (with wife in deed)—never
can I be your white knight with steed:
but your sadness won't last for ever
if you pray for the one you need.

France Gall est morte

A little piece of France has passed
	away
The heavens for sure now have some gall
	with smiles and all
If you no longer exist, then neither do I
	longing for times long ago
Your smile captured hearts and souls
	when life was more simple
Now I drink le beau dommage
	c'est la vie
Her heart and voice brought us innocence
	chalice of wine now deplete
We mourn the loss of her song and charm
at graves side we still adorn
Paradise she rests dressed in white
	singing

Notes:
beau dommage = happy sadness
c'est la vie = That is life

Kalam- kabhi socha na tha

Logon ko ekjut kar raha tha, kabhi socha na tha.
‘Missile’ udaane chala,
Logon ko ek misaal de raha tha, kabhi socha na tha.
Daudta chala, girta chala, sambhalta chala, phir udta chala.
Akela chala jaa raha tha,
Karodon log mere saath chalne lagenge, kabhi socha na tha.
Main bas kuch lafz bol raha tha,
Log use kuraan maan baithenge, kabhi socha na tha.
Aankhen band kar aakhri saansein gin raha tha,
Kuch ummeed bhari aankho ko aansuon se bhar chala jaa raha tha, kabhi socha na tha, kabhi socha na tha.

Last Kiss

Open your eyes to the ever turning skies
I want to here with me through the night
My heart yearns into your soul
Burning as if newly lit coal
I bravely submerg the embers
That the time I have can be spent with you
And I remember each kiss every moment
I was caught in your love that for just this day I remember
So what happened was a chance for your love
A time that I kept in a locket tied with a kiss
I wanted you to feel, to love, to slumber
And to awake in my arms with that times kept bliss
I lay silient in an umber

When I grow old

I will grow old
I tremble in the cold
None to care
I have nothing to fear...

But my love is alive
Though I strive
Beautiful roses to pluck
Yet I am stuck..

I grow old with wrinkle
Yet I will kinker
You will always remain in my mind
This is how you will find...

Still Standing

Where were you when my world fell apart?
The Sun darkened and the Moon just fled.
All had been done and all had been said.
And ripped to shreds was my beating heart.

Even the Seas began to part.
And the Mountain tops spread.
I lay there completely dead.
Even the Stars I could not chart.

If only you knew,
If only you were there,
If only you had a clue!
If only life had been fair!

I’d turn the clocks back,
Still standing dead in my track!

Wind

the salty wind blowing from far, far away
read me a poem today
whose lines I've heard before,
bur where and when,
I couldn't tell:

"the shortest road is the one
that you know,
the longest road is the one
that you love"

soaked in deep thoughts,
I sat there for hours and hours
my eyes shut, lips dry
waiting for further clues
until, as a sudden,
the 'longest way' part rang a bell

I got off the chair,
opened my arms wide towards the ocean
hugged and kissed the wind,
the almightiest messenger of them all,
for making me feel again
so well.
