angst, childhood, death, depression, family, father, hope, introspection, life, loss, nostalgia,
Things that seemed poetic were always sad,
though I yearned for sparkle
and my dad's guffaw, which never came.
Familiar things were always drear --
repeated motions in the same old game.
There were only distant glimpses
of budding spring, fleeting views
of daffodils. The strongest
poems dealt me death and dying.
Yet I always hoped, never went under
to gray despair, always dreaming
of a garden of love we could share.
But those forbidden delights faded
quickly away; the only reality
I understand is the ever-looming
and final one. Nothing's changed.
The strongest poems deal death and dying.

death, destiny, nostalgia,
A grey frame house and backyard swing
call out to me
from somewhere buried deep in time -
a memory.
A river front and 60’s band
are beckoning -
symbols of beginnings of
my reckonings.
Ostensibly,
I cannot travel back in time,
or I would be
there dancing, not making rhyme.
Oh, can it be
the parks and wooded spots I knew
now withering -
will cease to be when I am through?
Except in dreams!
Were folks and my old haunts the same
revisited,
then on no stone would live my name.

People are commonly different
Symbol of diversity piece
Pure race doesn’t exists
Color and creed are just an identity
Believe only in human history
God sculptured them from clay
People are equally created
Having many opposites
But respecting others taste
When everyone is treated equal
Nothing appears but peace in hand
Discrimination, disunity and, suffering won’t be born anymore
Written to advocate to suppress racism

angst, confusion, fear, funeral, hope, love, nostalgia, romantic, visionary,
For one moment I thought
Moons stars and kingdoms,
Humbly yielded to the spell of your tongue;
For I would never miss such an honour
When my heart still dies in front.
From the gravest yard in my groans,
In those rainy eyes of autumn,
You stole into the fragrance of my desert red bloom;
Despite the venom in my features,
You killed the old beast in my gloom.
For one moment I thought
Flowers, bees, and dew drops
Had never been bleeding forever;
The honey have they made
Fell us in love like a feather.
For one moment I thought
We stumbl’d upon each other.

bereavement, child, imagery, nostalgia, solitude, sorrow,
Where phantoms dwell in halls beyond recall
Bound to fate in cells of sanity’s fall
Where souls were left to hunt their past
Cold, lost, bereft. A wasteland vast
Whence I will run, and seek through tombs,
Forget the sun as dark thunder looms.
She too dwells here, a child of strange charms.
Wounds to sear, bled out in late arms.

art, confusion, death, depression, fear, imagination, life, music, nostalgia, sad, me,
I dont know where i'm going anymore
hard to tell who you are when the indiffrency has settled in
cold, empty, barren will i ever find a way?
Help me find a way out of this sorrow filled cage
My soul singed with everyday
Reality so hard to face
I need to find a way to escape
Only if i could just fly a way
I try to stay sane
But i fell under the september rain
A repuiem for the reality
That i never wish to see
Help me find a way out of this sorrow filled cage
My soul singed with everyday
Reality so hard to face
I need to find a way to escape
Only if i could just fly a way
I need a way to escape,
Only if I could just fly away

angst, death, devotion, faith, forgiveness, hope, nostalgia, passion, me, me,
I don't believe in the way things were.
I used to sit back and commend others for doing what I couldn't.
(it turns out, it was only what i wouldn't)
Every hand I extend in kindness is another step I long to take
And every note I sow, I swear it's because I know nothing else
Teach me shoulder-less love
Find me hope in the darkest hotels
Kill my distaste for
SOMETHING SO MUCH MORE!
I won't come back home
You don't need this throne
Fill my heart, I'm forlorn
Keep me out of this haze
Grace from remorse, let's turn this into a style
I'm alone in the next room
WAITING FOR THE NEXT GROOM
(the devil at the alter, the coffin in the courtyard)

My Old Flame
Would that I would fly
To ocean’s side
And catch the twinkling caps,
Where the moon touches
The boundary ridges
And I could but dream of you.
“Over there” you sailed
Where herons fly
Oh, so long ago.
I missed you so – I did not know
That you would be truly gone.

absence, blue, death, emotions, nostalgia, sad,
For Jay Dee, or Teheine.
I remember the first time I saw you:
Dressed all in brown,
Your hair hanging down,
With a bright splatter of blue.
Suffice to say that my days are all grey.
Without you, it seems,
I’ve lost all my dreams
Here at the end of the day.
My angel, my sweet,
You’ve stolen my heart complete:
Taken it with you to Neverland
Away you did go,
To a place I cannot follow,
To frolic in Neverland
I am happy for you,
My darling in blue
And wish you peace in Neverland.
But know that inside,
Where my heart did reside,
There now hangs a picture of you.

Secrets of Aging
When we age, no one tells us
how our bodies will change.
No one tells us how our minds
will be full of fog and useless content.
When we age, no one tells us
How to deal with the death of loved ones.
No one tells us how to cope with moving
Out of a home we had expected to die in.
When we age, no one tells us
How emotional we will become
Just looking at a pair of old boots
Or a child’s tiny baby shoes.
When we age, no one tells us
How much we will miss the feeling
Of being young and invincible
And in love with the manner of living…

appreciation, death, longing, lost love, nostalgia, true love,
love is the waft of perfume that gently passes by
caressing the nostril and awakening your soul
love is the memory of his smile in the middle of the night
his arms around you as you close your eyes to sleep
love is the full moon peeking through your window
when all is still and you put your wedding song on repeat
love is feeling blessed for the years we had together
that we can always cherish and no one will ever take away
love is the torment of separation that forever lingers
the reminiscence that carries on and tries to fill the void

Globally, miners jubilantly jump for joy
Smiles on the faces of every girl and boy
The grins of a newly opened Xmas toy
Thatcher’s dead.
Trade unionists bounce along the street
Music blaring and the tapping of feet
From nurses to Bobbies still on the beat
Thatcher’s dead.
Street parties announced in the nation
Satan who brought economic inflation
Is deceased, now’s the time for elation
Thatcher’s dead.
Its times like this I’m sad I’m an atheist
And can only shout and wave my fist
And then go to the pub and get pissed
Thatcher’s dead.

They see strengths
Not the limitations
These are people who will make you proud of yourself
They will tell you why you’re special
Trust you to the point you have to answer their expectations
They make you better than you normally are
You can be proud of yourself
They respect you
For what you’ve done
Where you’ve come from
They see what you’ve experienced something real
Respect you for your courage
They live by their rules
They do not expect you to follow theirs
They are at peace to themselves
They are not proving anything to you
They are good listeners
Sincere in their interest in you
You feel important
They are available for honest
Genuine discussion
Makes you want to share yourself

beautiful, death, dedication, french, inspiration, music, nostalgia,
A little piece of France has passed
away
The heavens for sure now have some gall
with smiles and all
If you no longer exist, then neither do I
longing for times long ago
Your smile captured hearts and souls
when life was more simple
Now I drink le beau dommage
c'est la vie
Her heart and voice brought us innocence
chalice of wine now deplete
We mourn the loss of her song and charm
at graves side we still adorn
Paradise she rests dressed in white
singing
Notes:
beau dommage = happy sadness
c'est la vie = That is life

death, nostalgia, philosophy,
No name appears on my stone
there are no flowers strewn
grasses grows knee high
full of thorny brambles
How did this come to pass
that so soon I am forgotten
no longer in memories am I
no one tends to my grave
Yet but a few short years
have passed since my death
my name once on many lips
now only sighed by the wind
as it passes my resting place
Now, forsaken, forgotten
out of sight and out of mind
nothing now remains of me
just my crumbling bones
moulder away deep in the earth

desire, freedom, grief, life, loneliness, longing, nostalgia,
Sharp fangs flashes as he growls
threatening to bring death
the eyes flames in fury
looking for an escape
He once ruled in his kingdom
the predator in a solitary wild
strength was his armor
never feeling sorry for his fights
One day a trap caught the king
in an iron throne, a crown he was given
yet he rejects the admires
for it is not what his heart desires
he longs of his life back
he was a beast, fierce and wild
freedom is his definition of love
one the master will never understand
The death that echoes in every flight
the chase that severs wretched life
the danger of the wild
now he cries his lonely howl in the night

DONE
The Apple PASTURE
Oh how I long
To drift into the apple pasture.
Were once was and all well meet.
A pure and dear site.
Where silver reflection cover the still waters that holds the golden
grains of morality and the grazing souls lie young amounce no stars.
Oh how I long
To drift into the apple pasture
Were winds smell of melon and the trees whisper spring corals in the mellow dark and best of light and time creeps into no tomorrow.

death, hope, nostalgia, me, universe,
Why did this day have to end?
I didn’t even ask for an extension
Miracles died thirty years ago
Now I just watch the universe roll by
I know the lights always fade
I welcomed the dark
For the first time
It felt like a blanket
Covering everything
Everything…my world is small
Just bury me for a while
I know you are not here to stay
But still
Just keep me here in the dark
I dread the morning
Trying to make a what’s-the-difference
Hope is the last to die
Whose turn is it tonight?

I will grow old
I tremble in the cold
None to care
I have nothing to fear...
But my love is alive
Though I strive
Beautiful roses to pluck
Yet I am stuck..
I grow old with wrinkle
Yet I will kinker
You will always remain in my mind
This is how you will find...
