absence, animal, christian, death, encouraging, sympathy, uplifting,
Though my stall here is empty now
If you listen close...
You can hear me running through a greener pasture
Your sorrow opens the gate and releases me free
Thank you for rescuing me from worldly darkness
And giving me love unsurpassed
So that I may now run with others so loved...
But never forgotten
I am a child again young and lean my spirit afire
And oh how our spirits thrive here
Never again to feel the pain of the earth
Hear me running!
For your tears have watered the grasses for me
In God's Greener Pasture
-originally written for Kae Surrah

christian, death, forgiveness,
As the last sun sets
and life ebbs away,
ugly words and deeds
flash across his mind
and he feels ashamed.
Bitter tears flow
into the mire
of squandered time
he can't redeem.
His eyes dim
as he begs
forgiveness.
God hears -
At last
Peace.

allegory, animal, beauty, betrayal, christian, corruption, creation, environment, grief, murder, nature, tiger, tree, tribute,
She prowls the night
with clenched jaw and pride,
nothing able to smite
her remorseless stride.
The ominous reflection of moon
shines forth from devouring eyes
of a nocturnal beauty spun on the loom
of the Creator's bid and sighs.
Grace moves her every limb
and she precedes an enraged scream
caused by ruins of a forest now grim
and held alive by all but one stream.
Her claws prophesy of vengeance
though her heart yearns for reconciliation.
Yet now there would be no leniency
for a soul's annihilation.
Now on journeys through lush valleys and ashes
she will embark
until all that remains after furious thrashes
will be the tigress' mark.

White Lilies,
Scattered on the ground,
Out of their element.
Witness,
Purity,
Deprived of its origin.
Behold,
Clarity no longer visible.
White Roses,
In the purest snow,
Frozen to the core.
Witness,
Loveliness,
Stripped away so rash.
Behold,
Beauty destroyed.
White flowers,
All around,
Trampled into dust.
Witness,
Wildness,
Stolen without knowledge.
Behold,
Endless death fighting to prevail.

Lord., I've Been Hurting!
This one thing I am
most certain…
Lately I’ve been really hurtin’.
I trying to do right, but it
turns out “wrong.”
Where, in life,
do I really belong?
So many people
pass me by.
Sometimes, someone
may say; “hi!”
I don’t know if this message is
getting across?
I feel so confused and
completely lost.
A message of “help” has my
prayer and plea…
For God to reach out to me!
He reached down and
made me whole!
HIS love and compassion
filled my soul!
Spending time with Jesus
is time well spent!
It was for you and me that
Jesus was sent!

religion, death, me, death, me,
My Lord is my reliance, sole
He claimed a body that a mother scorned
His termoil testifies me whole
His spirit has me not forlorn
Yet satan deigns to me instruct
My every path must he obstruct
With a ruthless tongue
He devices wrong
And counts upon my every fault
Every virtue to assult
And so I seek my death with zeal
My death like hidden goods I seek
A broken temple bears my sovereign's seal
Son of David mild and meek.
Jesus heal me who am weak.

You can walk a thousand miles barefoot and seal your soul for all eternity, you can walk a thousand miles barefoot even when the blistering sands of time comes upon you, even with the blistering winds of time tries to stop you. Your strength is your Shining Star. You can walk a mile barefoot and struggle to not cry, with sweat, and tears dripping down your cheeks, and your face, while you're trying not to step on the broken glass in the sand or even the sharp rocks that cut your feet, and still you walk barefoot as the lord endured it all with faith, you can walk for all eternity.

christian, dark, death, grave, judgement, lost, sorrow,
Memories of once the sun shined,
oiled and tanned we denied
the only living book and subtle nudges.
Nothing but truth in the grave
when too in love with everything
reached the top and found nothing
but the pain of a flame’s dedication
and an absolute conviction,
replays the familiar
screams and whispers them.
Strain a touch through the glare,
but they ain’t there.
No one left to save us
as we find common grace
included tears.

If today was your last day
what would you do
Would you get your house
in order and say goodbye
to those you love
Would you remember
you to get ready for
where you would spend
eternity
God has made a way we
could be secure
Most people have life
insurance but it
won't secure our souls
Death doesn't discriminate
it takes young and old
So if today was your last
where would you go
Life is short we must be
prepared to meet our
maker when our time
on earth is done

Unwanted Things.
A car wreck.
A kid, unexpected.
An absent father to be.
A cheater that brought you,
a sudden health risk.
A divorce.
Car troubles.
Work issues.
Financial burdens.
Bad health,
that effects you,
and…
or…
those you love.
These are a few,
of my un-favorite
things.
There is no song,
about these,
by Julie…
although I read her story,
and she
had a hard life
too.

They see strengths
Not the limitations
These are people who will make you proud of yourself
They will tell you why you’re special
Trust you to the point you have to answer their expectations
They make you better than you normally are
You can be proud of yourself
They respect you
For what you’ve done
Where you’ve come from
They see what you’ve experienced something real
Respect you for your courage
They live by their rules
They do not expect you to follow theirs
They are at peace to themselves
They are not proving anything to you
They are good listeners
Sincere in their interest in you
You feel important
They are available for honest
Genuine discussion
Makes you want to share yourself

best friend, brother, caregiving, christian, friendship, sympathy, true love,
Many days have we lived together,
O John, the chief cook!
I am weary of hunger,
And you have food and water.
Are you truly my neighbor?
Then give me a morsel.
Many months have we known each other,
O Peter, the great tailor!
I am walking around naked,
And you have clothes and thread.
Are you truly my neighbor?
Then sew me a dress.
Here at your door post
Have I sat for years,
O James, the Physician!
I am sick and dying,
And you have the drugs.
Are you truly my neighbor?
Then wash and bind my wounds,
That I may be made whole.

bereavement, christian, love, mom, mother, mothers day, sweet,
Who can tell a mother’s worth?
Who knows the wealth of such?
What do children know from birth?
Their mother’s blessed touch.
Who can tell a mother’s worth?
Who knows the gains thereof?
What exceeds the wealth of earth
Like mother’s boundless love?
Who can tell a mother’s worth?
Who can count her gifts?
What on earth brings greater mirth
Than mother’s tender kiss?
Who can tell a mother’s worth?
Who gives her ample praise?
What gift can any give on earth
That begins to show “repaid”?
Who can tell a mother’s worth?
All of heaven knows and sees…
The height, and depth and girth,
Of the love He has for these.

They praise me like a saint,
But I am a sinner;
They don't know the man they see.
I am an addict.
Broken eyes to ***********,
Only Jesus can set me free.
Only by His death on the cross
And the grace of His Father's love
Am I able to be set free.
With God as The Light,
The One and Only Light,
The Only Hope in sight,
Will I be set free.
I am free.

Best of friends, for countless years,
we had the best of times.
Now as my eyes are filled with tears,
your soul to Heaven climbs.
The path we take, not always clear,
I feel so lost without you here.
Your last words, prophetic now,
“I’ll be home soon”- you knew somehow.
You left me here, I’m so alone,
but I dreamed Heaven had a phone.
We talked all night, you fell asleep,
I held the line to hear you breathe…

I did it again; I need forgiven.
Will He still forgive me even though I've fallen before?
I've fallen into these same sins countless times before;
I still haven't learned my lesson.
I am an ignorant hypocrite.
Am I still forgiven?

(A Purpose So Clear)
Like children we fear
In secret a somber tear
Like learning to walk
Babies listen to talk
And reach for a hand
To help them stand
This too, we all must do
By HIS Hand made anew

When meanings have been broken,
When your cross has been uncrossed,
When the reasons that you gave me,
In the labyrinth have been lost.
When your house has been emptied,
When your bedroom is swept clean,
I will come and wake you,
From your long and endless dream.
