To Soar Like an Eagle

The Heavens are calling As my appointment grows near Death shall soon consume me Yet I have no fear My spirit is rising And my breath begins to cease I look to my destination And see a place of peace The Angels are softly singing Guiding me with their voice I look to the life I left behind Dying was not my choice I feel myself soaring Faster towards the light I feel like I’m an eagle Flying quietly in the night.

Golden Eagle 'Of War'

On the wings of a mighty power holding the weight of our nation as one
the eagle flies above and beyond the clouds while calling our hero's home

While watching from the highest tree she will sit so she can see from afar
a nest of destruction of worlds of war and gore that has left her heart with a scar

The fledgling of her wings are lost one by one as a soldier cries and dies
but she will continue her swooping and diving catching each soul in her wings
with her head held high a tear unseen to the heavens she will fly.

The Eagle

Once the eagle flew proud
Reaching upward
Attempting to catch the stars
Unafraid she soured
Ever searching
Death has entered the door
No freedom will she find in her wings
Fear and dread are all she sees
No more shall she hope
Discover has died in her heart
Atlantis is no more a dream
The city which crumbled in the ocean
Is now lost forever amongst the clouds
